Also known as the Maldives of the Salento, Pescoluse offers crystal-clear water in all seasons. The coastline is characterised by the presence of dunes behind it.

Pescoluse is not only sea, beach and sun but also hinterland.
The municipality of Salve is rich in history, art and culture.
Places to visit during your stay in Salento and in Pescoluse are the remains of the Dolmen, the Pajare, and Masseria Borgin.
The other area to visit is the Fano canal, where the Masseria of the same name stands, a beautiful place between the countryside and the sea.
Its name Fano derives from the Latin Fanum, meaning 'place of the gods'.
Thanks to the richness of the surrounding area and the spring that springs there, the site was inhabited in very remote times by prehistoric man and later by some Minoan exiles, who escaped with their ships from the terrible explosion of the volcano Santorini dated around 1,600 BC. Then, in 727 A.D., a number of Monks found refuge here, who, in order to escape the massacres ordered by the Byzantine emperor Leo III Isauricus, abandoned the eastern provinces of the Empire.
The Fano Canal is home to a watercourse that, although fed by groundwater through a series of outcrops and small springs in the upper sections, only becomes perennial from the spring located below 'La Chiusa'. The presence of this watercourse makes the area rich in vegetation.
The name of the town expresses a greeting, and at the same time an alluring invitation, to visit the beauty of the place.
Salve.
The town of Salve was founded, according to legend, by the Roman centurion Salvius in 267 BC. It later expanded following the destruction of two ancient hamlets that stood in the immediate vicinity.
In the 15th century, to defend themselves from attacks by the Turks, the people of Salvi built a fortress, thanks to which they resisted the assaults.
It was during this period that the Spanish authorities decided to start building coastal towers. The one in Salve territory, the Torre dei Pali, was completed in 1563.
Built on an isolated rock, this tower was joined to the mainland by a narrow masonry bridge.
