Olive grove with pajara in Salento!
Along the road that leads from Salve to the marina of Pescoluse, about 1.5 km from the sea, there is this olive grove with pajara that can be renovated and where it will be possible to apply for permits to build two villas of one hundred square metres each.
The new constructions will have to be built with the typical star or barrel vaults. The external elevation will have to reflect the ancient Liame or Pajare constructions.
The property, given its location, lends itself well to the creation of a small tourist accommodation structure. The total surface area is sixteen thousand seven hundred square metres.

Strolling through the Salento countryside, along narrow streets bordered by dry-stone walls, you can admire the Pajare or Furnieddhi (structures similar to trulli, but truncated cone-shaped and with a circular plan, built with stones that were quarried from the ground to make the same cultivable).
The pajare were used by farmers as a shelter for straw or as storage for agricultural tools. They also served as shelter from the rain in winter or as a shelter from the summer heat. Usually next to the pajare was the oven, also made of stone, which was used to bake bread, frise, biscuits or even to dry figs.
Today, both the pajare and the masserie are undergoing renovation and change of use.
The pajare are mainly used as seasonal dwellings while the masserie are mainly used as charming tourist accommodation.
The historic centre of Salve is located 130 metres above sea level. From above, it dominates the vast sandy beaches that run from Pescoluse to the coast of Torre San Giovanni.
